Meet the team

Hayley Wallen
Founder
Hayley has a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Warwick and PhD from University College London. Her research used synchrotron radiation to study archaeological material, for which she received the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Ronald Belcher Award for outstanding and innovative research. Alongside her lab work, Hayley appeared on national TV and Radio, worked as a science journalist and gave public lectures.
After finishing her PhD, Hayley joined the Nature Portfolio as a Senior Editor on the journal Nature Reviews Methods Primers. She has handled reviews and research articles across all areas of science. Combining her knowledge of scientific research, communication and publishing, Hayley founded Impact Research Communications to support scientists in communicating their work.
